Yesterday I did my first washing (as in clothes), I'd not used this washing machine before but it seemed simple enough.

Put the clothes in, put the washing stuff in, shut the door, started the cycle and walked away.

Fair enough you say

I return later, it appears to have finished, I press the ''door open'' button....whoosh...water all over the floor.

I'd forgotton to put it on spin dry after the wash.

edit: I can access the internet for a short while each day, although not everyday, but its only just enough time to check my emails and scan through ATS/BTS.

I'm still alive

Ironing has to be the most boring and mind numbing thing in the world...got the hang of washing now, not exactly eating healthy

Damn I miss home, miss my family, miss my friends...miss good food

Yo UK....try watching somebody else doing their iorning....thats well freaking boring!.....i should know.....i was "watch somebody else iorning" endurance champion of 1989,1990 and 1991.....(i didnt contest the next year because the dutch came in with a late entry...the current and 14 years unbeaten champion:- Urgen Schloonenironingismylife Glon Gloop)

Dont worry about missing the good food and your girlfriend.....get yourself a McD's and a high class hooker for the night....obviously after abusing the student bar for around 4 hrs....you'll feel better...i promise.

Trust me.....im your mate!

Good luck wil robinson.

Its scary to think I've been gone over a month now, I'm doing well though, thankfully I can check ATS/BTS monday to friday, although my posting rate has dropped from addict to slight addict...shocking I know.

I'll have some pictures at the end of the month, mainly of just the flat.

Well, time does fly, I've now done half of my CSV volunteering, which means I've got another 5 months to go.
Its been an interesting few months, and I'm sure the remaining months ahead of me are going to be just as interesting.

I'd recommend the whole ''CSV volunteering experience'' to anyone, whether it be simply a year out between high school and university or something completely different.

I return!

Well not really return to ATS so to speak as I've still been on ATS but I've returned home.

I was having so much fun I even decided to stay an extra week for partying, so type quietly hey

Its been a blast of a 10 and a half months, I've learnt so much about so many things, its been an experience I wouldn't have swapped for the entire world.
Working with special needs students and even just working within the education system does change your point of view on so many things, but I think its the people I've met and made friends with that made the year so special.

Thank you Yorkshire for being such a beautiful place, thank you people of Yorkshire for being so ace and thank you CSV for giving me the chance to make a difference and better myself while having such a great time!
