They should do, it's the atmosphere that makes the effect, not the eye.

I do not believe that you will b eable to see the stars. I tried to photograph Mars but I could not see it after I loaded the image onto the computer.

Why couldnt i see the stars? I have video of some white ball. It dosent look like it is twiknleing though.

the problem you are having is one due to exposure. with standard 35mm film the shutter stays open for a longer ammount of time allowing the visual effect of stars to expose on the film, the CCD on a digital camera takes a very rapid shot and cannot pickup a "clean" image If your camera allows it, try playing with exposure times or see if it has a backlight function.

Why stars twinkle.

I photographed mars with my digital camera. It was less than 3 pixels in the image. I must buy a telescope.

Unless you have some kind of expensive camera, you won't even be able to take pics of stars or planets. I've tried.
