Diary Extracts From Guantanamo Prisoner

This article shows extracts from Benyam Mohamed's diary, a 27-year-old Ethiopian that claims the US sent him to several countries to be tortured.

"They cut off my clothes with some kind of doctor's scalpel. I was naked.

"I tried to put on a brave face. But maybe I was going to be raped. Maybe they'd electrocute me. Maybe castrate me", he wrote.

"One of them took my penis in his hand and began to make cuts. He did it once, and they stood still for maybe a minute, watching my reaction. I was in agony. They must have done this 20 to 30 times, in maybe two hours. There was blood all over. "I told you I was going to teach you who's the man," [one] eventually said", Benyam continues.

Whether or not these claims are true or not remains to be seen, but if they are this is an absolute disgrace.
The Iraqis showed our POW's this sort of treatment during the first Gulf war, but us doing the same is just lowering us to their terrible standards.

well i could post a couple of pics showing detainees playing soccer, but that would be very embarrasing, i mean AMERICA the one that tortures Muslims that rivals Nazis or the Soviets, giving soccer balls for detainees to play with. not to mention giving them Korans and letting them pray

Well, these are only a few of the 1,000's available...of me!
The top two are good friends I made while at LSA Anaconda, Mahamood and Kifir. Well educated, former Iraqi Air Force, and carry a deep seated hatred for islamic terrorists. They live local, and brought us much intell on the area, much of which resulted in arrests of terror cells and individuals.

Please notice the lack of whip marks, torn Kurans, dog bites, or slices on the penis....or an ugly chick pointing at them.

There is no mention of this man being Al-Queda, and you seem to be disregarding the thousands of pictures of torture and demeaning of captives by American soldiers. You seem to have a problem believing that Americans would commite such crimes when in facticity it has become evident that they sent suspects to countries where these conventions regarding torture hold no court.

NEW YORK So what is shown on the 87 photographs and four videos from Abu Ghraib prison that the Pentagon, in an eleventh hour move, blocked from release this weekend? One clue: Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress last year, after viewing a large cache of unreleased images: "I mean, I looked at them last night, and they're hard to believe.” They show acts "that can only be described as blatantly sadistic, cruel and inhumane," he added.

Yesterday, news emerged that lawyers for the Pentagon had refused to cooperate with a federal judge's order to release dozens of unseen photographs and videos from Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq by Saturday. The photos were among thousands turned over by the key “whistleblower” in the scandal, Specialist Joseph M. Darby. Just a few that were released to the press sparked the Abu Ghraib abuse scandal last year, and the video images are said to be even more shocking.

The transcript, obtained this week by The Denver Post under a court order, was of a March hearing to determine whether three Fort Carson Army soldiers should stand trial for the death of Iraqi Maj. Gen. Abed Hamed Mowhoush during an interrogation in 2003.

Looks like some people need a reality check.

This truly sad what is happening to these people. Even though they "may" be terrorists it is no good to commit these displicible acts. Otherwise that makes you look as bad as the terrorist(s).

I could really care less what happens to the prisoners. They are lucky that is all that happens to them, if that really happens at all. Most likely he is lying.
