Uganda: Lord's Resistance Army Rebels Kill Dozens, Burn Down School

The Lord's Resistance Army rebels over the weekend massacred dozens of people across Teso, 50 of them from just one village.

The Katakwi district vice chairman, Mr Agar Eceru, confirmed the killings.

In the past two days, the rebels also re-entered Asamuk and Abarilela sub counties that they had earlier left.

Briefing the Amuria MP, Mr Ben Etonu, over the security situation in Katakwi district, Eceru said that the rebels killed dozens of people; including 50 civilians from Akeriau village, in Orungo sub-county.
