In the last hour, reports have been flying out of Iran, the Iranians have continued their uranium enrichment work at their facility near Isfahan.

www.cnn.com
ISFAHAN, Iran (Reuters) -- Iran resumed uranium conversion on Monday at its facility near Isfahan, a move EU officials have warned will probably see its nuclear case sent to the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions.

Iran agreed to suspend all nuclear fuel work last November as part of a deal with the European Union while both sides explored a long-term arrangement for Iran's nuclear program.

Britain, Germany and France have called an emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors for tomorrow to warn Iran not to continue work. According to foreign advisor on Skynews, the IAEA will probably warn Iran to stop, but the chances are Iran will ignore the final warning. This is expected to be taken to the UN security council, in New York, during the Autumn.

ok, confusion...

the Iranians are working with the IEA (UN nuclear watchdog) and the plant has been restarted with the IEA. But, reports are still stating the three EU nations and the USA will take Iran to the UN security council....

Am I just being naive' or is it really necessary for Iran to have a "nuclear program" in the first place? Have they proved they are so trustworthy now they have earned that right? My personal opinion is - No nation should be messing with the stuff - Especially a country that has proved it has no regard for basic human rights and dignity.

Iran is a sovereign nation that should be allowed to have a nuclear program if it wants to. I think it is absolutely clear to everyone that the US Govt has waged war against many more countries than Iran has, and more importantly, the USA is the only country to have ever dropped a nuclear bomb on anyone (60 yrs post hiroshima just passed....6/8/05). Why not go after other countries that already have nuclear capability as well eg: UK, Russia, India, Pakistan ??
