Who knew right ?

I can Google and get thousands of hours of Bush or the Clintons doing all sort's of silly stupid thing's, yet did you know Peter Jennings was smoking ? Not one picture of him in a hallway, bathroom or you name it. During the 90's Peter and the othe 2 big network's practicaly created all of those wolf packs that sued most cigarette companies out of business. You'd never even know that Peter was smoking during all of this crap, but he was. The conspiracy is that we never heard a mention of it ! Odd how these news group's can sneak about and " catch " Bush falling off a bike or bring up the fact that he got drunk when he was twenty, yet we just can't get one phot of Peter sneaking off to smoke a cigarette these past few years. You know as well as I do that everybody who worked for him knew he was smoking, and I bet he was even smoking at work while everybody else had to stand outside thank's to all of the anti-smoking laws. I am willing to bet half of the media smokes and drinks and some probably take the same pain killers Rush took. But you know what ? You'll never know because the media are full of crap. Only when the crap hit's the fan will they suddenly tell us the truth. Until then, it's all lies.

So? I'm sure there are plenty of tv and movie personalities that smoke and we don't know it...Do I care? No. Does anyone else? I doubt it.

So what...the guys wants to smoke. WGAF!

ofcourse the Prez is in more of a public eye than Mr Jennings.

The man has the right to a little privacy.

All of this argument assumes you bought as truth the lies that were fed to you during our "war on drugs".

Fact of the matter is-People like to get wasted, always have, always will.

From the ever soo faint buzz, and clarity of thought that nicotene delivers, to the two day high of a single dose of Methamphaetamines- human beings like to alter their consciousness.

What's the big deal here?

Jennings is an example of how people should be. Sure he reported, and might of helped the anti smoking crusade, but that was because he was all about personal responsibility. The fact remains smoking is bad and companies lied, and were helped to lie.

Does this mean that you need to know if the messanger smokes or not? No! After all who better to tell you not to do a substance the the one who has more experience with said substance?

Jsut because he smoked does not take away from any of the truths surrounding the dangers of tobacco. I think he is a stand up guy for having the ability to say what is right, even if he himself knows that what he does is wrong. That is true objectiveness, and you should be mourning the fact that it is almost gone, instead of demonizing the man for behaving as he should.

A tidbit I heard this morning, a tape of him. He actually quit smoking 20 years ago, but on Sept. 11, 2001, started again.

And, yeah, so what? It's not exactly like snorting coke or poking an intern. And he wasn't a president.

I can google thousand and thousand of hours of porn, yet none of them star CNN's Carol Costello. Did you know she was naked under there? Probably has sex all the time. Yet not one picture of her in the bedroom, bathroom or you name it. CNN has reported no less a quarter million news stories about the "pornography" industry. You'd never know Carol Costello was having sex that whole time, but she was! The conspiracy is that we never heard a mention of it.

Uh, yeah. And the cigarette companies are no more out of business than porn dude. Altria (Phillip Morris) is up over 2000% since the 90's.

Thomas Crowne! You smoke??? I can't believe all the truth that's spilling out! This certainly sounds conspiratorial to me! Next thing you know we'll be finding out that Elvis did drugs!

I quit smoking Aug. 19, 2001 after smoking for nearly 30 years (I started while I was in diapers). If you ever want to quit, keep trying. Every time I tried to quit, it was a little different, and then one time it worked! I worked!

The guy practically incouraged Wolf-Pack lawsuit's that sucked billions of jack out of Tobcco farms and owners and would then drive home with a carton of cigarettes ! Blubber, I pride myself on being overlystupid, but I am not tracking what your grief with Peter Jennings is. He smoked... He didn't want to, but if you are not a smoker or ex-smoker, you have no idea what I'm trying to say.

He covered the news and backed something that he thought was moral and ethical as opposed to the way he actually was living. Not sure, in this instance, how that hurts anything, creates a conspiracy, or makes him look evil.

Maybe if you try to re-explain it .... In a fashion that someone of my "ilk" can understand.
