John Titor, Civil War

With all this talk of John Titor predicting a civil war I thought about it for a while. The only problem i see with there being a civil war in the U.S. is who would be fighting who. The military vs. civilians? Civilians vs. Civilians? Military vs. Military? If it were civilians that started some kind of militia who would lead them?
