If my dad had had his way, I would've been called Shannon Roisin O'Malley.

As it turned out, he didn't...though I still ended up with a terrifically stereotypically Irish name (Teresa).

But he's Irish. Which makes me half Irish, I suppose, though I was born in England and moved to the US in my 20s.

Damn..apparntly if you go back a few (4 or 5) generations on my mothers side of the family there is Irish blood....so I've got a few drops of Irish blood in me afterall
