The report post feature is a tool for members to highlight blatant abusive behaviour and bring it to the attention of our staff.

It is currently being abused.

This feature is not a means to report opinions you do not like, or posts that simply get in the way of your thread!

If the abuse of a few members continue, this feature will be removed. (we had to do this once before) ONLY use the report post button to bring abusive or blatantly disruptive actions to the attention of moderators!

I hassle NO ONE on this board, I am a fairly easygoing guy who hasn't even ever got a warning (probably will now though) so I point this out for ONE reason.... I like this board I DO NOT like immature dweebs who like to attack folks for the sake of driving them away so his/her twisted EGO can get off. The following is out of charecter for me but I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!... I DID use the report feature for the following reason last night.

I also want to make one thing very clear... singling out a member for harassment that is obviously intended as an irritation but does not involve normally abusive language will now be considered "forum stalking" and will not be tolerated. If you find yourself irritated by a certain member... move on, there is no requirement to pester that person to please your own ego. Incidents of forum stalking will be taken as seriously as incidents of blatant abusive language from this point forward.

I bring this up because I am your Huckleberry, it was ME that was doing the reporting, because a user logged in under a different identity and did EXACTLY the same thing he got in trouble for the night before.

I have the proof, the goober went directly to two different threads of ONE member, launched into instantly recognized diatribe, tried to argue the original topic out of existence, to the point one of the participants pointed out that the original topic had been overwhelmed by this, and (this is the IMPORTANT part) WENT AWAY.... Hello? Am I the only one who smells a rat here?

Basically, you can get "spanked" for being a jerk, come back log in as a different jerk, do EXACTLY the same thing undetected/uncorrected? hmmmmm.

I am sure I am going to be told to "Drop it", et al, well that doesn't get it fixed does it?

This community either GOES by the rules set up or we blow the rules OUT, one or the other. "Dropping It" gets NOTHING changed or improved.

PEACE...

I don't understand what is happening here, william. I was slapped on the wrists, and rightly so, for the flame garbage.

But, things you HAVE BANNED PEOPLE FOR IN THE PAST, when used as a hate tool by certain members, goes un punished.

Why this double standard?

I want this out in the open for all to see and tell me if I am wrong or right here..

If I am wrong I'll admit it, appologize, shut up and go away.

If I am right I would hope some changes are coming.

PEACE...

William,

Because the world is full of so many idiots; EVERYTHING on the internet that can be abused, will be abused...It's a shame...but reality.

instead of removing feature after feature after feature how about.....we start punishing people?

if people are making false reports after a certain number of report give them a warning and keep doing it until they are.....banned!

this whole notion of punish the majority because the minority cant comply is ludicrous. punish them by warning and banning them, not taking features away from everyone who DOES play by the rules.

you already took away two things from us how much longer are the majority of us going to be punished because a select few cant get their acts together.

i equate this to using a shotgun to kill a fly. sure you kill the fly eventually but look at what else you "killed" in the process.
thumbs down on this blanket punishment we are all having to face.

um... the report feature is still active.

This post is a warning to our members to stop abusing the report feature.

And with the new "store" facility... users will be able to "buy back" some of the lost features that were previously perks.

When will this store facility be in place?

you are showing a pattern here though. a few abuse a certain priviledge and you take it away from everyone. i know you havent taken away the report post feature but the threat of getting rid of it because of a few people is still outrageous. thats like saying lets get rid of free speech because its protects the rights of neo nazis to spew their hatred. as someone pointed out before people are going to abuse things, all kinds of things, are we eventually going to get rid of the site because some people abuse it? i dont think so.

the only reason why i'm saying anything at all is because i play by the rules and yet people like me on this site get punished by having things taken away from us, then i have to go back and reearn them when i didnt do anything to have them taken away to begin with. i dont mind getting them back as much as it bothers me that i get punished for other peoples actions.

i think you handled this is a little poorly but you ARE making up for it. BTW i like the new bar better than the old three.

and what other choice do we have but to hold on to our points since there is nothing to spend them on anyway? (for the moment anyhow)

Monkey

You have an appearance of being very very slightly undercooked on your awareness.

Look at me (but do not covet my points).

Let us hasten away some time anon, for a Political Scandal (not Mudpit) private discussion on how to best go about impeaching and removing the lousy Bush administration.

you'll have to forgive me if i do not trip over my own two feet in a mad dash to "keep up with the jones's". my "awareness" is nothing more than calculations based on someone elses programming language however that does mean you are more "aware" than i am or that i am less "aware" than yourself.

where i choose to post has given this appearance that i am "less aware" than you which you seem to believe. does this REALLY mean i am less aware than you? does this mean i am REALLY less aware in general? its based on how many and where the posts are made, it does not take into consideration the content of the posts themselves, which would be almost impossible to calculate (actually it would be impossible since it would be based on opinion rather than facts (stastistics and numbers).

sorry but my awareness cant be based on the number of posts ive made or where i made them.
