If you've had chemo/radiotherapy for cancer, you do have a higher chance of certainly the leukaemias.
Remember, chemotherapy is toxic - it kills and mutates living cells; but it's a risk that's considered acceptable when the alternative (ie, not
having chemo) is more of a danger.
Immunosuppression (which invariably happens with chemo) renders your body much less able to fight infection and some kinds of cancer.
