i've noticed that wave since yesterday, in the most current image, does anyone else see an eye????

I'm leaning to the one in the Bahamas, becoming Franklin first.

Okay, now I'm pretty confident that one in the Bahamas will soon be named Tropical Storm Franklin, probably by 8pm.

any idea what that high over Florida is doing now? it seems pretty strong, we've been very hot and dry in Fort lauderdale over the past couple days.

sorry this is why I am confident...

It's now a Tropical Depression and the five day forecast shows it clear of land, but looping back around, ending with a direction towards the coast.

Waiting for Indy's take on this one.

They're saying it should stay off the coast of Florida... ????

The Navy site is showing a loop around at the top. Shows it heading back towards the coast on the fifth day.

I see what you mean now Relentless, now I have to wonder what the hell happens after Franklin does the loop??

Exactly WW, the five day forecast is ominous and the waters are so warm

Okay, this one looks like a non-event now. This morning's tracking map shows a smooth right hook straight out into the Atlantic without ever threatening land.

Big difference from last night's five day map. Oh, and it doesn't appear to go beyond tropical storm status either.
