Well, I'm going to have to agree with you. Of late, I have gone looking for such a forum and have had to settle for Computer Help. Perhaps this dilemma could be settled by renaming Computer Help, although that might just clutter things up.

I think a special forum entitled: Dubya;The Deceit

Would be a good one.

Legislation/Bill forum where you can talk about the different bills and legislations going through the senate, congress, of the United States and other nations.

I got the impression that Canadians don't have politics. How else can they know more about US politics than US citizens?

What about an Astronomy forum (on BTS) ?

People could share their experiences and advices about sky observation, which material do they own (telescopes, eyepieces, etc), and also post their own astronomical photos. It would be a nice forum. What do you think ?

Maybe in the BTS forum, a forum called "Jail", or something like that.

Anyone repeatedly breaking rules, before they get banished completely, could be sentenced to there, until their fellow posters, vote that they have served their time. They would only have the priveledge of posting in there, and they could only communicate with fellow inmates. Thereby, keeping the boards free from nonsense. I don't know just throwing it out there.

It's not like the moderators just sit back and do nothing all day. Every now and then we do our job.

, chair, computer mouse, keyboard, all set to go. I cant see where a jail would be a good idea because of people going around bragging saying they have been in jail. That would make the board look bad. Not only that, but it doesnt seem like it shows a good impression to "The Outsiders" either. Although funny, I still think that a global ignore would be better, or a warn.

How about a forum dedicated to setting up ATS member meetings. A way to meet some of your fellow ATSers in the real world. ATS events or something like it.

Also how about a thread called "ATS action", where people can share ideas about how they can make the world a better place and then do something tangible to materialize these goals. Talking is one thing... action is another.

How About a Specialised Forum entitled,

"Hidden Symbolism & Messaging Coded in Art, Music & Literature",

which would seek openly to discuss/handle anything from the Hidden messages coded into certain Symbolist Paintings (e.g. the Shepherds of Arcady by Poussin, or the Madonna of the Rocks of Leonardo, to the e.g. Hidden Masonic Symbolic Number 18 buried inside the K. 626 (Codex 17561a) Fragment of Mozart's Requiem Mass and the Opera "Die ZauberFloete" (i.e. The Magic Flute) both dating from 1791 where certain Key Groups and huddles of 18 musical-notes can be discerned...

I think you would be able to post these theories in 'Skunk Works', that was the idea of it at least as far as I am aware.

I agree with you on that, and i actually like that idea, how about Skeptic Overlord and Odium and those guys planning a Big ATs event next year?

Also Personally I will Love to have a Finance forum, where people will deal with business, economics, umm How to start one, investing, you know you get the drill?

I'm just cannon fodder and not up there with the Administration.

The problem with ATS and an event is due to the size of the forum. It has something like 30,000 members and people from all over the World do come here and get involved in a debate.

The forum, however would be a good idea and I do not see a problem with having meetings in the U.K, U.S, etc for members. Not too long ago, a chatroom I often go in had a large meeting which had been planned nearly 6months in advance and had people from all over the U.S. go there so it is possible. However, it doesn't fall under PTS so your best bet is to speak to the new BTS councillor about it.

A poll forum.

One where members can post things like:

Let's have a poll on the subject of "Are you for or against (insert topic here)".

Then the mods could pick topics they like and put the little poll-box(es) and results box(es) on the ATS homepage.

A lot of websites (including this one) have had or have free polls, but this would make it a member-driven poll, while most polls are management-driven.
