How powerful is china's military versus our own in say 5 years?

how powerful is the the chinese military? How would they fare agianst us in a war in say 5 years?

I am closing this thread in a pre-emptive strike as it will simply disipate into a flame war between users.

We have learned from experience over the years here on ATS that such "Country 1 vs. Country 2" threads never cause anything but anger among members and more work amongst staff.
