Efraim Halevi, former head of Israeli intelligence agency, The Mossad, issued a statement to the Jerusalem Post, in which he appears to be calling for a full scale world war against radical Islamic Terrorists. The report was issued just hours after the tragic events in London last week. The article also puts forward that Executives of the Countries involved should receive further empowerment in order to properly protect their respective Citizens, and to advance the war on Terror into whatever region is necessary.

It cannot be said that seven years after this war broke out in east Africa, we can see its conclusion. We are in for the long haul and we must brace ourselves for more that will follow. The 'Great Wars' of the 20th century lasted less than this war has already lasted, and the end is nowhere in sight.

There will be supreme tests of leadership in this unique situation and people will have to trust the wisdom and good judgment of those chosen to govern them. The executives must be empowered to act resolutely and to take every measure necessary to protect the citizens of their country and to carry the combat into whatever territory the perpetrators and their temporal and spiritual leaders are inhabiting.

The rules of combat must be rapidly adjusted to cater to the necessities of this new and unprecedented situation, and international law must be rewritten in such a way as to permit civilization to defend itself. Anything short of this invites disaster and must not be allowed to happen.

The aim of the enemy is not to defeat western civilization but to destroy its sources of power and existence, and to render it a relic of the past. It does not seek a territorial victory or a regime change; it wants to turn western civilization into history and will stop at nothing less than that.

It will show no mercy or compassion and no appreciation for these noble values when practiced by us. This does not mean that we can or should assume the norms of our adversaries, nor that we should act indiscriminately. It does mean that the only way to ensure our safety and security will be to obtain the destruction, the complete destruction, of the enemy.

MUCH HAS been said in recent years about the vital need for international cooperation. There is no doubt that this is essential. Yet no measure of this will suffice and it cannot replace the requirement that each and every country effectively declare itself at war with international Islamist terror and recruit the public to involve itself actively in the battle, under the direction of the legal powers that be.

As a firm disbeliever of most of the Official story, this one had me raising my eyebrows with a fairly justified degree of suspicion. What with the controversy surrounding the issue of the coinciding Exercises being carried out by Visor consultants for an unnamed private firm, and the unclear situation of the Netanyahu Warning, along with all the other many inconsistencies, I would say it's a bit early for statements like this one issued by Efraim Halevi, especially as everyone claimed that they were not aware of what was occurring at the time.

Great catch

Efraim Halevi is punching above his weight here but the fact that he was head of Israeli intelligence gives it atleast some credence.

The Israeli's have the most to gain from the World banding together and "wiping out the enemy". An enemy that is defined by an ill-defined abstraction of what differentiates a freedom fighter from a terrorist.

That this Israeli is advocating ANOTHER World War to protect them from extremists is just wrong. Remember how good the West treat the Jews in the last World War? Is it time we visited our inate racism on muslims this time? Some Israeli's, like Halevi must think so.

But the real part of his statement that irks me is that he too advocates that we should put our freedoms, liberties and civil rights into the trust and wisdom of politicians. The Downing Street memo has effectively proved that Blair and Bush lied to us. So should we trust them with our very freedoms they are meant to be saving from terrorists? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

This kind of statement, if it came from a muslim against Jews in 1946, would be classed as pure anti-semitism. Why should we accept it against muslims? After all to truly erradicat "Islamist" terrorism we would have to erradicate all muslims as our final solution.

World War 3?

Prosecute terrorists through our courts?

Yeah, true, although currently Halivi is head of the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem also, which I guess makes his statement even more worrying than just an Ex-Mossad Chief shooting his mouth off out of haste.

Right on again, Subz. This man is calling for the unconditional surrender of Civil Liberty unto the Government, like they hadn't slain a lot of aspects of it already. If we allow this to happen then would that not mean a complete and utter reversal of the fact that the Government are supposed to serve the people, not the other way round, this would bring a whole new, unpleasant meaning to the term Public service. We have already seen our leaders drag is into unjustified wars as of late, why should we mindlessly follow them into possibly doing the same again?

I believe that the Governments, and the people behind the curtain, are heavily responsible for several of the large "Terrorist" attacks upon us, especially September the 11th, therefore I do not think the real perpetrators of these crimes could ever be caught and tried within their own system, not with the degree of control they maintain over it.

If Mr. Halevi gets his way, we, as the people, will have absolutely no say in ANY matter, not that we even have much of one at the moment. About the only chance to get heard in Britain is to join the audience over at Question time.

Please excuse me while I go and Vomit ........
