let them have the gaming console commodity market. As Byrd pointed out, they have yet to touch other key markets. I don't think the playstation is
going anywhere either.
MS has the desktop and 'office' software market. I think linux will take hold in both these areas shortly and is catching on quick in the server
market, which MS is far from taking over. Outside the workgroup server running an NT variant, most higher end servers are running Sun, SGI, HP, or
something IBM. Linux will be able to fit in anywhere. I recently read a story where Wal-Mart is selling pc's with a Linux version called Lindows.
All these factors will keep MS at bay. If they would make a product that didn't so many flaws in it!
I do like my MS mouse though.
Back to the original post, I don't see how they are going to make their own 'internet' with the xbox.
