Bush: hypocrite

now, this topic i'm sure you're all familiar with:

President George W Bush has made clear he seriously doubts that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein will meet US demands and avert a military assault on his country.

"US warns Russia over Georgia strike"

The United States says it takes strong exception to the possibility of Russian military intervention against Chechen rebels in Georgia.

now, here's a quote from the first article:

"Mr Powell is meeting foreign ministers from Russia, China, France, and the UK, one day after President Bush warned that the US would take unilateral action against Baghdad if the UN fails to impose its will."

and a quote from the second:

State Department spokesman Philip Reeker: "We strongly support Georgia's territorial integrity and oppose any unilateral military action in Georgia,"

seems like hypocritical, double-standards to me.....

Considering that they back a party that is nothing but one contradiction and hipocricy after another, I'd think they'd be able to do better than that, but still.

presumably saddam, who also doesn't like Mr Bush, is also a democrat.

Well you BOB88 compared your country to INDIA AND CHINA when we were discussing kyoto, so it is ok to compare your country with them but not to compare Georgia to Iraq. Could you please give me a copy of your rule book??!!

Well judging on saddam's past history, I'd have to say he is right. Aren't we supposed to learn from histories mistakes and not repeat them ?

Speaking of London, I understand there was a recent demonstration where 9,000 kind, peace-loving followers of the religion of peace (Islam, for those who didn't catch the sarcasm) made it perfectly clear that they have no intentions of assimilation into the British culture but intend to destro smae said culture and replace it with Islamic culture.

I tried to point out that your reaction that our anti bush statements meant we supported the democrats is indicative of your introverted understanding of global politics.......in fact actually I didn't have to try you managed it all on your lonesome.....

One thing you have to think about is we're looking at a mind game here too. Bushs' best hope would be to get Iraq to disarm without a war. He would really win then. It is a possibility.

I have no liking for Saddam, however, I feel Bush is just after the oil and is determined to colonize Iraq.
Where did this Iraq thing come from anyway I thought Bush was after big beard in Afghanistan. This is surely a diversion for what's going on in the drug factory.

I know, I've heard the "oil and submit to America, World" theories and I can see the relevance.

But, why should anyone be fair to you if you can't be fair to them. It would take months/years of diligent studying ( I might add this would not be the case if you live through something by example; meaning you learn best when you go through it yourself ) to come to this conclusion.
