One of the London bombers visited the Houses of Parliament as a guest of an MP, the Labour Party has confirmed.
Mohammad Sidique Khan accompanied a school trip to parliament in July 2004 in his capacity as a learning mentor at Hill Side Primary School in Leeds.

The bomber, who was responsible for the Edgware Road blast, met Labour MP Jon Trickett, whose wife Sarah is the headteacher at Hill Side.

What interested me most about this story is the seeming ease with which Muslim extremists can blend in with society and then, unexpectedly, participate in a terrorist sponsored bombing or assasination. Everyone who knew this man, say they were stunned to hear he was involved.

All the more reason for, intensified, background and secuirty checks on anyone who fits the terrorist profile; not all Muslims, just the ones who meet certain profile guidelines.
These terrorists could just as easily have blown up the school where Khan was mentoring.
