I just saw on Sky TV News a newsflash that 3 Albanian terrorist suspects had been arrested on a flight from Lisbon to London on false passports. The plane has been searched but no bomb found.

Sky TV quoted Reuters newswire as a source, so I expect it will be on there soon.

www.reuters.com...

Why was my previous post deleated?

They seem to be different incidents. The Sky TV newsflash report about the flight from Lisbon has not been covered anywhere that I can find since the newsflash - which seems very strange.

Sky quoted Reuters as the source but I can't find it on Reuters.

A quickly hushed story perhaps?

The suspects - all British nationals - were detained early on Sunday morning as they flew in from abroad

Seems it may be part of the same story,
They must have updated that as im sure i did not read that before

The initial story was that it was 3 Albanians on a flight from Lisbon using false passports, and the plane had been searched for a bomb.

The second story was that there were 3 British people arrested at Heathrow flying in from abroad.

To determine whether it is the same incident then we need to know whether the 3 arrested at Heathrow were on a flight from Lisbon.

It could be the same story, interesting if it is, as the initial newsflash contained more information than the follow-up reports.

The second story about the 3 British Citizens seems to be everywhere.

we wont know anymore until the police release a statement, and thats if they do

although i only caught the end of a news story ,it seemed to me that it was 3 people were arrested at heathrow trying to leave the u.k.?
I dont quiet understand why the services would search a plane carrying 3 albanians (if thats what they were) if they had been caught trying to enter the u.k.? this could be an altogether different story.

people entering the u.k. on false documents or no documents at all is an everyday thing, just look at the ports and you will see why i say this!
getting into the u.k. is a very simple thing to do but getting in by using heathrow airport is not only stupid but a lot harder than being 'smuggled' through one of the many ferry ports.

"Three men arrested at Heathrow airport on Sunday under anti-terrorist laws were released later in the day without charge"

www.nctimes.com...

They have been described as "all Britons" but it was Albanians that were arrested on the flight from Lisbon.

We still don't know whether it was the same people.

As I thought, there were TWO lots of arrests

"Police arrested three British men returning from the US at Heathrow early yesterday morning"

www.guardian.co.uk...

Whereas the other lot was from Lisbon to London - which has not been reported anywhere apart from a newsflash on Sky TV News. Where have they gone?
