I have not read that story, but I do have another one that I read. It is in the Jan/Feb issue of The Backwoodsman magazine. The writer tells about using cooking oil from resteraunts by using a process called 'deesterfication',(not sure if it is spelled right).I have the article somewhere and plan on checking it out sometime. The web sight is www.backwoodsmanmag.com.It sounds like a possible low volume alternative to K1 or diesel fuel.

I read an article on msn about how a labratory was making oil from animal wasteproducts and etc. Read through the article very quickly and I dont have the link. Has anybody else heard of this, aparently the article states that the oil made by them is being used by us consumers.
