Is this a plane?

If your talking about the one thats the same color as the runway, its really hard to see. It looks like an a normal airliner.

I think some people are having a great time with these Google maps. From mysterious airfields with nearly invisible planes, to Orbs over Florida. Honestly, some people need to get a girlfriend and spend some time away from the computer.

I do however find this map intersting, as there is little or no stuctures, just a runway and a singluar plane.

You also have to take in mind that Nevada and other remote area's have a gazilion of airstrips wich are used for all sorts of illegal transports and for high profile people to land.

If I'm not mistaken, this picture has several black SUV's and other cars parked on that strip.

For all you know, that image is a Whale for one of the casino's arriving somewhere really remote.(Or a big drug transport or whatever)

Zoom out and then zoom in on the dry lake are to the north of the airport/runway. There is a pretty interesting circular formation, also some other structures there as well.......

ill try to research on this type of plane, all i can discount is that it has no propellors, its wings are slanted back. its white but then most planes are. in anicase ill look into it. brb.

okay here is one of my possibe choices for right now wat that plane is.

it could be a Gulfstream private jet.







but since i cant see no engines in the rear possibly because the image is so small, so small in fact that i cant see the tailwing easily. but this is one of the possibilities also wen u compare to the size of that "suv" at the left bottom corner in the small little "walking" runway or "street" if dat is wats its called. in anicase ill see if anithing else could match that mystery plane.

If you look at the image on google earth with ability to rotate and change angles, it looks like it may have just been painted on the runway and they may use it to practice bombing air bases.

This runway looks like a mockup runway for test bombing runs. The plane is probably an empty shell of a former military plane used for realism in the mockup. Thats my guess anyways.

Not sure how to paste the exact address, but there looks like some sort of bunkers if you move slightly north and east on the map. Or doors to underground areas Anyone know what these are or have seen these?

That's the link, looks like some sort of test facility like someone else mentioned.

Also, what is this black labyrinth link at the bottom of each page on the forum?

I'm guessing it might be a UAV. I am sure this is some government test facility...just a WAG

the plane looks like just an oridnary everyday airplane but when zooming out the whole formation of that runway looks a bit like a ship of some sort

Its a mock airfield for bombing practice belonging to Nellis AFB and in the middle of the Nevada Test Site. If you move the map to the right (east), you'll find Area 51 and Groom Lake.

All of the strange designs in the desert floor are reported to be either bombing targets or reference points for calibrating imaging satellites

If you will zoom out a bit you will see that the area is part of the Nellis AFB target range. The aircraft looks like a DC-8. The circular pattern to which you are referring is a practice bombing target the circles enable an observer to gauge the distance of a miss. I would say that this is probably part of the Red Flag range. I've never been there but I have been to Fallon and they had pretty much the same set up.
