And by the way, your poll says 80% of Americans have favorable opinions on newspapers (higher than any other source).
That means your angry emoticon anti-American newspaper rabble rousing puts you in the radical fringe minority against the grain of most Americans. Congrats on that.
Yeah! Lousey minority... (just playin', don't take that seriously)

I don't remember the media being labeled left wing while they were fullll of the Clinton scandal......
Ohhhhhh yes it was! The media did exactly what Rant was talking about with the Clinton scandal:
Rant's
Your conclusions are in step with most of this administration's "intelligence." Misreading available data, manipulating it, then regurgitating garbage as misdirection.
The media misread the data and manipulated it. Just from watching the news, the entire impeachment scandal was based on sex, Clinton was impeached for sex. That was complete misdirection, he was impeached for purjury, for willingly violating the law he swore to protect in an act of self interest. There were many other charges leveled, far more nefarious than purjury (which is huge), but the media's spin on it caused the wuss Republican leadership to base their case on what the media said their case was, not what Ken Starr and Dave Schippers said it was.
I agree with you, looking4truth, it's not nearly as prevelant as it seems, but it is there. As WebDevil pointed out, a lot of conservatives have been labeling anti-administration rhetoric as anti-American.
Finally, I'm also going to have to agree with orangetom1999's cynicism to a degree. I believe most investigative journalists are looking for the truth, not a political stand. However, money makes the news. The editors decide which of those articles go into the media. We all know doom and gloom sells on the news, and by publishing/reporting investigations critical of America for something while not doing so with those flattering of her nearly so much, they create the doom and gloom that causes people to watch. The stories are investigated fairly and reported on, generally. Journalists aren't in question here, the editors and decision makers are. I believe a typical editor, when presented with two articles, one talking about the efforts America is going to to cater to the religious needs of the prisoners in Gitmo, the other possible abuses committed at the same institution, they're going to run with the abuses, and nix the other article. That's where I see the bias. That, and sometimes how the anchors deliver the reports, which facts aren't important enough to get air time, who gets quoted and how, etc.

CNN, NBC and CBS are not liberal or 'democrat' just because they aren't supporters of the republicans and the bush administration like Fox is. As an outsider i consider these channels to be centrist at best. I don't think your ever going to find many liberals call CNN or NBC 'liberal' news channels.

Friendly reminder.
For many who care,
Anti-corruption, anti-criminality in government = "anti-Bush" = pro-American.
Pro-Bush = anti-American.

I don't know anyone who hates America. I don't know anyone who likes your government either. Don't confuse the two..... The American government and the American people are not the same...... And it's been a long time ago since your government actually represented the American people.

centurion, please be respectful of other people, you might offend a lot of people calling Chirac an idiot, because he isnt one (just your opinion). he just works differently.

centurion1211, are you in a wrong thread? Why are you talking about France and Chirac?
This has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with France... I am confused...

Now, let's hear you and others speak out against the people who bash George Bush with far worse rhetoric than calling him an idiot.
If you don't want to play 'fair' on this, then the gloves are off with respect to Chirac and anyone else that, in my opinion, doesn't deserve to be where he is.
