Lions Rescue a 12-Year Old Girl

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) -- Police say three lions rescued a 12-year-old girl kidnapped by men who wanted to force her into marriage, chasing off her abductors and guarding her until police and relatives tracked her down in a remote corner of Ethiopia.

It's a sad day when we have to admit that the earth's wild animals are more humane than it's suposedly civilized homo sapiens are. When wild animals show more compasion to a species that has almost hunted them to extinction, surely this points out that we are behaving in ways that should not be happening.
Hopefully if we eventualy destroy ourselves, some of these great beasts will survive and make a better job of ruling this planet than we seem to have done.
