Drunken Circus Performers Spread Fear

4 drunken russian circus performers were arrested in Norway after they had been throwing knives at passing cars. A local policeman said he could not confirm whether or not the drunken quartet were literally clowns, but said they might have been trying to practice part of their act. One policeman were hit when one of the clowns became angry.

Police were called out early Thursday morning after receiving calls from motorists at Asmaloy saying they were frightened by four odd male circus artists.

According to NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) in Ostfold the men were Russians and throwing knives at passing cars.

When police arrived one of the inebriated circus performers became furious and hit a policeman

A local policeman told Radio Fredrikstad that he could not confirm whether or not the drunken quartet were literally clowns, but said they might have been trying to practice part of their act.

He also said that they would face fines and one assault charge, and that free tickets to the circus would not help.
