I read in a military puplication, afew years ago about a new branch of the U.S. Army special forces. It was called , I believe, Psy Ops corps.

There was even a photo of this units enblem, triagular in shape.

Does anyone have any info about this?

Can someone provide a photo/picture of this emblem?

Thanks Sporty MB,

The unit I was looking for was the 9th Psychological Operations Battalion.
They are a tactical support Battalion, and they do indeed have a triangle
based insignia.

its the chain of command that purports the physcological operations imo, people have supiriors among supiriors that all revolve around a spinning caludren of political conformity. then you have the trickle down effect of paranoia which will lead to a firm reguritation of spontanious anictdoitial ideals.

the best effort of combatnace would be industrial and resourceful consodaltion of assets in all areas of information.

to hope, all is well on the west end

Hmm, I picked up an "official" Psy Ops manaual for the Army the other day at a flee market.

The lady asked me what I wanted it for, so I said "oh I just like spy stuff..."

Little does she know!

- Mwa hah ha hah ha ha!!!

It's a dry but pretty interesting read, I suppose its a textbook for some military college class or something.

I'll take a picture and post it if u like.

The History or Discovery channel did a whole show on Psy Ops during Desert Storm. The millions of leaflets they dropped, and the harassment techniques they used were credited with contributing greatly to the mass surrender of Iraqi soldiers all along the battlefront. They would actually warn different elements of the Iraqi Army that they were about to be carpet-bombed by B-52s! Then the next day they would drop more leaflets saying WE TOLD YOU SO! Followed, of course, by even more leaflets explaining that surrender was the only alternative to complete annihilation. Very effective.
