A purely hypothetical here, don't attack the foundations of it like like "that would never happen etc etc" thanks in advance, anyway...

Assume for a second that the current administration decides its forward deployed forces overseas in the Middle-East are becoming cost prohibitive and ineffectual. If the US were to withdraw its forces from the Middle-East what would happen with the War on Terror? Would terrorists continue to attack us if we stopped killing their countrymen?

What if we also rescinded many of our aggressive policies with the Middle-East, like sanctions on Iraq (assuming they still existed, that is just an example) OBL himself cited 3 main reasons why he condoned jihad on the US, sanctions, forward deployed forces and unconditional support for Israel.

Would the world unravel and be dominated by terrorist super-cells, or would we see a net decrease in violence committed by and towards the US?

well u know Osama dont like infidels so i doubt even if we stop killing his followers it wont deter them from killing us infidels.

maybe u can ask him questions about why he destroy the Budda statues and targeting Shiites and supporting money to groups who want independent Islamic states like in China, Phillipines, Thailand, etc.

His agenda is about Islamic Empire not about freedom of his "people" if he says he is defender of Muslims why he be targeting Shiites
. his group is all Sunni and Wahhabi.

No, they would still plot and attempt to attack us. They live halfway between the rational and irrational. But thats not the point.

The point of isolationism is to consolidate our resources back on our own soil where we can be better prepared to deal with attacks and the like.

The main concern is attacks on US soil, not on overseas assets. If we bring our assets home, it will make it alot harder to attack.
