OK, it's clue time.

His end was foretold by a prophetess.

*cue spooky biblical music*

Ahh, ye olde tent peg.

Sisera dun gone and died by it.

Here's a little song about it, too, though I haven't heard it. The lyrics are pretty funny, tho!

You are the winner! Woohoo!

Are you ready for your prize? It's time for smilies!

:w:

I'll listen to the song when I get home and I'll have some more trivia later.

Trivia Rules!!!

I just listened to it, it was great! I sent the link to quite a few people, it's a song both Orthodox Jews and Christians can equally enjoy!

More trivia, not exactly biblical -- What is the name of the oral tradition passed down by the Jews to complement the Torah?

Oh, and if y'all want a hint about the Lucifer question, lemme know!

I have to take a trivia break now, and get a smidgen of work done.

If no one gets them, I will give them a try later.

Junglejake I believe your are talking about the Mishnah, which with the Gemara, forms the Talmud

My question. Part of my list of "strange deaths in the bible":

Who broke his neck becasue he was a fat and old?

That song is hilarious! It starts off a little slow, but by the end, I was laughing my butt off.

He fell, dead,
with a tent peg through his head,
killed by a friend of the family,
while he slept in her bed.

I just know that's going to be stuck in my head all night. :shk:

I'll try jj's question first. I'm guessing you are being literal, and will say that Lucifer was an archangel. Until he got fired for insubordination.

I'll leave Jehosephat's for tonight and see if anyone else gets it. If not, I'll answer it tomorrow. Plus, then I don't have to come up with another question right away. I'm feeling a little lazy tonight.

Rock, rock on!

We still have two open questions:

Who stabbed a man and women, while they were having 'whoopie' in a tent?

What was Lucifer? (Sorry, Duz, that ain't it
)

And another I'm going to throw in the mix:

From what time-period (event-wise, not date wise) in the old testament were 8 people saved through symbolic baptism as described in the New Testament?

EDIT:
Oooo, and who were they?!

My "impressions" of Flanders have managed to find their way into my day to day speach
Unlike Flanders, though, I don't do it because I'm pissed at ya

Maybe you should give me a Lucifer hint. I think I know where you are going with this; but I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for. Then I'll try again.

I think we already got the 'whoopie' question, it was Phinehas from Numbers 25. The open Jehosephat question is:

Who broke his neck becasue he was a fat and old?

I know the answer to this one, but I'll leave it to see if anyone else wants to play our fun little game.
I'm taking one question at a time; and it's Lucifers turn right now.

Come play Biblical trivia, it's fun!

How about these super fun bible quotes!

In what passage does it state,

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."

Or this classic gem,

"Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him."

Hints for Lucifer in the form of restating the question:

Who was Lucifer, what position did he hold, what was his nickname, and in what part of the Bible does it name him?

As to the quotes just put forward,

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones" comes from Psalms 137:9, from a song of the Jews lamenting being stolen away from their homeland and taken into slavery by the Babylonians. It certainly does end on a dark note, doesn't it!

The other one, "Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him" comes from Numbers 31:17 and is God's command to the Israelis to take Canaan after running from Egypt and through the desert. It's interesting to note that they did not obey, and that disobediance eventually lead to the situation which caused Psalm 137 to be written.

Ok, second try. I hope I get it this time. *fingers crossed*

Lucifer was the human King of Babylon, also know as the Son of the Morning or Dawn. He is named in Isaiah 14:12.

Am I closer this time?

Rock, rock on! Funny thing is, no where is Satan called Lucifer, although the prophesy against Babylon is awfully similar in its assessment of Lucifer as it is Satan.
