Very extreme freak of nature!

This naturally occured in a wood burl.

Here's to reading the fine print.

My oh my.

Head? Wood?

I thought it was an oral advertisment.

With all the BS that's been coming out lately concerning UFO's and aliens how will the real seekers find their answers?

Why won't the aliens just route into our internet and tell us they are here?

Bet I just gave another nutter an idea to make believe they are of alien origin and they are trying to make contact via the commercial mail services.

I can picture it now... This message is from [email protected]

ya just look at the pic closely

its Certainly Wood....

the "neck" area that is hollow shows perfectly

ya this hunk of wood is neat; as wood goes....

its Not worth 999.00$ however

if i collected freak wood chunks; and i was rich; i still wouldnt buy it

the rediculous things on ebay sometimes

i might as well try to sell my garbage on there for 10$ a bag
who knows it might actually sell!!

anyone wanna buy my old nasty socks? 50cents a piece lol
ill bargin a bag of them for 5bucks

with all those ghost things and alien things for sale on there; which actually sell sometimes.... (or virgin mary grilled cheese)

i could probably make a good profit off of selling garbage
why not

Ya never know... there could be an alien species made of wood! When I was younger, my dad always told me stories about the living tree named Itchy Itchy Koombah. He was evil and lived in the woods behind my house! Maybe this is a distant relative of his??

The seller states it is wood in the second line:

"A true freak from unknown arbor species".

Here is the complete Q & A from the listing. He is not claiming that it is an authentic alien head. Just that it is a peice of unaltered wood. Meaning that the wood formed that way itself. Of course his advertisement is completely misleading.

Q: alien? looks more like a rock formation to me. I think you better take it to a museum before you go advertising what you THINK it is.
Jun-05-05
A: No this is no rock formation....I know geology quite well. No need to take to a museum as I have plenty of information from college studies. This is a wood burl that naturally formed into what you see. There has been no alterations. It is very odd indeed. Thanks for your input.

Q: you should be careful that the government doesnt try to contact you...this may not be alian but whatever it is i garentee that they will try to confinscate it. but this is truly the best auction i have seen and i really hope you get this thing auctioned and get alot for it. could you tell me how you found it?
Jun-04-05
A: Thank you for your query. Yes, this truly is an oddity. People are not beleiving that this is real. It is! It is a natural wood burl...kind of like a tumor on/or within a tree trunk. This one just was "created" this way as one in a million type rare occurance. I sure hope the feds don't come after this one! This alien head will be screaming out for its roots should they not want this out in public any longer! I found it over 20+ years ago here in Oregon. You can see where it was cut from the tree...see the photo that shows the "neck" area. The most unusual part is the back of the head area looks as if someone took an ax and split its head open exposing the "brain"! Look at the photos again! Just too weird, for sure! It really scares most people who see it up close. Thanks...I know someone will want this for a museum or oddity collection such as "Ye Old Curiostity Shop" in Seattle!?! Or personal collection of very out of this world highly unusual unique items.

Q: wow nice try ITS A peice of "WOOD" but you know that >!!!! I'm watching this auction if you sell this for any more than $1.00-Than you can sell "SNOW to Eskimo's- good luck !!! richw. [email protected]

A: Yes...as my listing says...its naturally formed wood burl. It grew this way and was not formed or added on to in any way shape or form. If you saw this in person you would be convinced it is a real wood burl that "grew" a freak of nature. I have had a lot of alien enthusiast watching this..too funny...but it is very interesting the way this formed all by itself. A true freak of nature. It has been checked out by both a geologist and botanist....so its for real and not some formed fake item. Perhaps I should take better photos. Thanks for you input. Its been fun with all the responses as people dont beleive its real...but it is! Thanks

From the Arbor species? Sure looks like its from the Arbor species. Especially that last picture, very much the type of thing we may celebrate on Arbor Day.

Everything about the description allows it to just be a wood formation, too. Phrases like:

This was 100% naturally formed.

This guy is selling a piece of driftwood that kind of looks like an alien head, and is protecting himself quite well from any liability by calling it an alien head.

Jeeze, for a grand!? I wonder if anyone will be foolish enough to bid on it...

Hey, the person who paid $11,000 for the "haunted Stitch doll" probably thinks a grand is a bargain!

The Roswell aliens were supposedly half plant right? Could eat or use photosynthesis, and got rid of ALL it's waste through the skin.

It is an interesting peice of driftwood no doubt. You NEVER know what people will buy anyway, and I am wishing this Ebay seller alot of LUCK on this...
No bids so far though......
and they are not going to get a bid from me. I wouldnt even pay the shipping costs.

Yeah i love it when people put down ...This belongs in a museum. Then why don't you give it to one yah nut. I've donated things to museums like old army Calvery manuals, watches from the early turn of the centry. Donating is good for the karma. BTW it looks more like a fossilzed elephant dropping then an alien head
