Google Maps finds stealth bomber

Not sure if its been posted but
The blog Here talks about google maps mapping an aircraft hanger with stealth bomber outside

you can see a stealth aircraft outside a hanger
Zoom out and you can see in the next section to the right, dodgy map images (covering for something), then the map runs out a bit further to the right

I doubt that anything is getting covered up, it's probably an area that hasn't been mapped yet.

I suppose they may not have covered the whole country just yet...

But if there are areas of the country that are deemed too sensitive to be mapped like that, I'm sure Google would be made to blur them out, or put in old pictures or something.

I'm not sure how they'd go about dealing with situations like that. Anyone try to map other areas that would be considered sensitive?

When I looked over the DC area a few weeks back I saw the Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and even the Pentagon, yet the White House was fuzzed over.

You can also find a bulkload of SR-71's and F117's on google.

This airplane isn't secret anymore, you can find out pritty much everything about it online.

What would be cool if someone spotted something that could be identified as the Aurora or some other unknown classified plane on Google.

This is one I found. Not so much cool but more strange.
Its a big ring joining 2 roads, that come off a main road.
The two smaller roads end at a mountaing and look like they form the edge of a huge runway. There are huts every so far along the road.

If you check a bit to the north from there, theres also a pritty extensive bombing range there.

FWIW, those maps might not be very up-to-date.
I found my house and the guy next doors roof is not green. Indicating to me that the picture is at least one year old.

But, gotta tell ya, amazing clarity.

Russian SA-2 Air to Air missle system.

The Russians sold these things like hotcakes back in the day. Nowadays, they might be effective against a large commercial aircraft, I doubt that they can touch any military jets. Easy to jam and confuse, only an idiot would get nailed with them now. That being said, they were North Vietnams most effective missle during the war.
