We got thousands of baby quails this year.



Maybe it's because I'm feeding the little darlings.

They are cute!

We get chukar partridges around here, and they are almost equally cute. Sort of like free-range chickens that run in herds.

I like them because they come through and leave no bugs behind.

Scorpions? What scorpions?

Most excellent.

And for those wondering, no, I don't hunt or trap them, but I must assume that eventually, something eats them and enjoys that fine chukar goodness.
