i am trying to learn more about different religions.
will you please tell my why you believe in what you believe in?
i am curious as to why people believe thier choice of belief.
i am what i call an "agnostic observer" being that i believe that there is something else out there, but not one religion has pointed it out perfectly, i believe that ever religion has a part of the truth, but not all of it.
so weither you believe like me, or your a christian, jewish, muslim, buddhist, taoist, ect. i would like to know why you have picked this this religion (or lack there of) for yourself.
i will not judge you on your belief, i just want to know what it is that you believe, and in turn, you might help me find my true calling. (do not try to convert me or "show me the way" i will find it on my own, just explain yourself)

Disclaimer:
THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR YOU TO BASH OTHER PEOPLES BELIEFS, AND IF YOU BRING THAT IGNORENCE AND HATRED INTO THIS THREAD, I WILL HAVE AS MUCH POSSIBLE ACTION TAKEN AGAINST YOU AND YOUR POST!

Thanx,
Light

I believe in the catholic faith because it was the original church founded by our lord Jesus Christ and all other "christian' churches are false churches . This sight answers about the religion.

That signature of yours is going to make this thread into another topic all own its own.

I believe in what I believe no on faith but life experiences, since I was a child I had certain life experiences that through the years has proven true.

I do not follow any religion.

I am a Christian.

I do not love God because of anything a religion, the bible, visions or prayers have taught me. I love Him because He exists and loved me first.

I am a Christian because God's love for me and my love for Him led me to see Truth in the bible and it explained to me my first question of "Why me?" I have seen Truth in many religions and beliefs, but none of the others I examined could explain why a faithless prayer of an atheist would be answered.

These are the things I first came to believe:

1. God exists.
2. God loves with a perfect love.
3. He created us to love as he does.
4. He created us to live this perfect love.

All else I believe are understandings of those "core beliefs", so that I might be able to share the understanding of His love with others.

Ralp pretty much answered it for me. I could add a few details, and my testimony, but thats about it. We are not all at the same place in our walk with God.

Religion is mans attempt to reach God.

Christianity is Gods attempt to reach man.
