I've had the privilege of exposing examples of political correctness gone insane on this website on several occasions. For the most part, it's groups like the ACLU and other "independent" liberal groups who try to censor people from expressing themselves because it might hurt other peoples feelings. So imagine my horror when I read an article moments ago about some Bush supporter doing the same thing
The craziest part is it still took place in California!

At El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills, CA, a suburb of LA, the school was doing a play showing “The Complete History of America (Abridged),” and they had posters to advertise it. The poster featured George Bush with Groucho-like eyebrows, cigar, moustache, and glasses. Everything was fine until one senior complained that the posters made Bush look bad and it offended him. Immediately the posters were torn down and destroyed. Among other things, the school said it promoted smoking, too.

If this trend keeps up, our first amendment rights will be null and void. With both sides playing the PC card, and effectively, it is not likely to change. It is more likely to get worse. This has to stop, every American is guaranteed the right via the first amendment to be offended. We need that right back!!!

I think we might end up agreeing on something...and I definitley agree with the stupidity and craziness of this incident...

Being PC should be a goal that we strive to. That is you striving toward it. After all, it is about respect for your common man. However, I do not think it should be enforced. That does interfere with free speech. And that is actually against the Constitution.

Does being "unPC" make you a bad person? No, not really. It might make me think a little less of what you are trying to say, but I won't think you are the Anti-Christ. If it offends me, I just stop listening to it in most cases. Why can't anybody else get that? If it bothers you, walk away.

Besides, I have one of the most unPC signatures on the board...

In the news this week alone some Republican Senator (in Alabama I think) wants Bill Maher off the air for comments about the army and Tom Delay is having a sheer conniption over being mentioned on Law & Order.

Come on ladies of the RNC. Grow some.

Now, now. I'm sure you're aware that these problems are far more prevelant from the left groups like the ACLU, NAACP, and California as opposed to the Right. It's a shame that the Right is starting to catch on to this way of controling information and are trying to do the same thing, though. As I stated earlier, if both parties are going to start doing it, we can pretty much toss the First Ammendment out the window.
