No one is really "pro-terrorist" Its more, that we dont want to be a nation of foaming-at-the-mouth angry idiots, who dont even understand a SINGLE aspect of life outside of our own isolated country where we pretend the rest of the world is dangerous wasteland for our taking.
The problem is people who are so afraid of things that arent familiar, they must create an ego that enables them to feel like theyre safe or tough, they put on facades of "warrior" or "I got me sum balls" or whatever, I dont think having balls relates to your ability to smash in the head of something weaker than yourself.
Real men, (with balls) actually exercise restraint, and focus their energy into solving problems at the source, not creating decades or centuries of problems for our offspring to fix.

If it weren't for years of poor diplomacy on the part of our government I doubt the terrorist threat would even exsist. I haven't heard of people car-bombing or terrorizing Swedin (If that is actually happening, then I sit corrected). Why? They leave people the hell alone. Plus, they have really good cheese! In fact I bet that you are sitting on your ass, bragging about your kids, and arguing with people all day long, which leads me to believe your body is probably craving some exercise, so before telling everyone theyre weak or they cant fight, maybe log off the computer for a week, run around the block a couple times, eat some fresh fruits and veggies, and maybe all those nasty angry thoughts that plague your mind will vanish!

The vid was interesting, however, the idea that all muslims are out to get rid of the infidel 'infestation of allah's paradise' was stupid. And why can't the public also complain about a the unemployment rate and social security reform?

Patton was a good general, tho I don't think anyone claims he was the best of WWII (I think most agree that the goes to the soviet generals), and he's certainly not someone to look to for any sort of political message.

the 'message' of that production was that there comes a point where understanding is a hindrance and peacable intentions and caution are a danger. Before WWII, those intentions and that isolationism and the need to not get invovled in a 'European War" ended when 'they' attacked. And that the US had bullied peopel in east asia, so why shouldn't the Japanese be able to straighten their own world out? They want generalissimos, they should be allowed to have it and expand, after all, they only threaten american hegemony in the area and trade, not america itself. But that all ends after Pearl Harbour. They attacked. What did nazi germany have to do with it? Nothing, not directly certainly, but it was obvious that the entire axis had to be fought against. It wasn't just some mad plan of FDR to turn the US socialist and get it involved in a globalist-UN world takeover. And it wasn't ignoring the growing danger of the Soviet Union. But once Pearl Harbour happened, that was the end of it, you couldn't talk about that stuff anymore, because you had to fight. The entire society got militiarized, drafts, business were mobilized for war use, there were even rations at home, and more people died in single battles than the entire Terror War. YOu couldn't afford to say 'wait, lets try to understand that the Nazis were dealing with a tough situation, we screwed the germans over in the Treaty Of Versailles, don't they have a right to pull themselves together' you had to 'get in, get mean' and 'kill the bastards'. YOu couldn't say 'look we've already dropped a nuke on the Japanese, they're defeated, but their culture, it demands that they act honourably, we can't demand unconditional surrender, it'll effectively be whatever we want anyway', they had to be killed until they simply gave up, completely. Not partially.
The exact same situation has repeated, 'cept instead of global fascists, it islamists. Hell, look at WWI. Same thing. No one wanted to get involved. It was a european thing, not even the business of the US.

Well, I don't give a crap about waging a "sensative and understanding war" the way so many people seem to want it done. I see and hear every single day how people think we should have a "politically correct" relationship with the enemy, complete with "Hand-Holding 101" classes for the poor, picked on terrorists.

I won't debate the "if we should or should not" be doing what we're doing. We're there. Our armed forces have been given a mission, and rather than spit on them while their doing their jobs or spit on them when they come home, I would rather support them.

It's war. Period, full stop. There is a winner and a loser. Do what it takes. The rules of war are the same since the beginning. Achieve victory. That is it. Achieve victory. It's life and death. There is little room for compromise of the "shades of gray". Be creative, unpredictable, and use deception to attack and win.

You can make comparisons about abu ghraib and 911 all you like. Fact is that there is no connection between 911 and Saddam Hussein, this was admitted by the US government. Go ahead and post your picture of a saddam painting with the twin towers in it. It doesn't mean a thing. I was shocked and saddened by 911. It was a truly horrific event. But to then stroll into Iraq; a pissant country with a pissant military, pissant equipment and pissant morale with no verifiable link to the 911 tragedy or proof of WMDs was completely wrong.

A lot of you neocons are trying very hard to compare the Iraq War with World War II. There is nothing remotely similar about them. I will not explain this to you because you know it. Yet when it comes to comparing the Iraq War with the Vietnam War, you get your panties in a twist. You know it has FAR more in common with the Iraq War than World War II ever could, and that really disturbs you. So denial sets in.

Both my grandfathers fought in World War II. They were just normal men who answered the call. I would not hesitate to join the fight if a similar situation arose again. I will not, however, participate in the invasion of another country based on lies. Your attempt to paint anyone who is not at the extreme right of the spectrum as pussies is so flawed that it's hilarious. The men who fought in World War II were a rare breed. That breed will never be seen on this earth again. You could never hope to be even 1% like those men. Don't try. Or pretend.
