How to conquer Taiwan.

There are some other threads with the question if China is able to conquer Taiwan and most people agree that the huge comunistic army could do it, but they have not enough naval power to transport those troops unharmed to the island.
However in one thread in Aircraft forum we discussed the possibility to use light Gyrocopter for ejected pilots. This is of course impractical, but member shadarlocoth claimed the much better idea would be the "square box arobatic parashute with a small power propeler on the back". Such thing would be very cheap, relatively small with speed of 50-75mph and range of 150+ miles.

Now, let's say China will use it for regular paratroopers, because the Taiwanese strait is not wide, so let's say the Chinese will make hundreds of thousands of these cheap things they could deploy let's say 500 000 paratroopers 150miles/270km away from the Taiwan where the Taiwanese AA defenses cannot reach. They will glide to the island and there 500 000 soldiers can cause serious mess, destroy most AA defenses and take airfields. Than the remaining trasport planes could land on airfields with heavy weaponry, like tanks. Of course the losses would be huge, but I don't think it would be such big problem for China. It could work Germans did similar thing in Crete during WWII.
In such case also the US Navy would be relatively helpless, of course they can bomb them but it would be difficult, since they will have to deal with Chinese Su-30 and subs and once the comunists are established on island the can use also the air bases and it would be very difficult to kick them out. What do you think?

Actually thats a rather ingenius idea....I mean think about it...500,000 paratroopers all haveing that capability, ingenius.

Win the hearts of those in Taiwan who are pro-reunification. Help them gain power. The rest should be easy.

(That's what the CCP is doing anyway. Military action is like "Plan B")
