Shall we discuss the "Taking Back of Above Top Secret"?

I don't know Winston, when I first came across ATS there were four long time posters beating another for not changing his opinion about something.

Then there's the old time poster that started a demeaning thread using 4th grade jokes joined by a SuperMod and other Mods, they were all joking about something that many people take as a part of their life. They collaborated real well, the thread went sideways when some newer posters took offense and guess what- the thread got locked.

These are the 'good old days crew?' Many of these people have posted in this thread.

If this is indicative of the 'good old days' then ATS is well served that newer posters have changed some things. ATS still has a large degree of 'not invented here' mentality. Older posters sometimes seem to run in gangs, but that too is life.

Sure there are a lot of dumb threads and posts with no meaning other than to insult, but such is life as well. If collaboration is wanted there is always the research section.

another thing that happens from time to time is an ATSNN story (worth lots of points) getting posted AFTER the same story was posted.

Things like this keep ATS moving a little more than maybe some would like.
