The Pentagon has recommended the closure of 33 military bases across the country. As well as those closures, they are also recommending closing down
many smaller facilities. 29 bases will also have their forces reduced drastically.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Pentagon on Friday recommended closing 33 major military installations and many smaller facilities across the United States,
sparking fierce reactions from lawmakers who had hoped their states would be spared.
The proposed changes also include significant reductions of forces at another 29 major bases.

In this trying time, closing down military bases and reducing forces is not the right thing to do. With the threats that both North Korea and
especially China pose, cutting down the military's power is the wrong thing to do. This is also costing many people jobs, which is not the way to help
our still recovering economy.
