Chali 2na is from Jurassic 5 - you would have to have heard of them... They are ledgendary? - They are largely based in Los Angeles, but Jurassic 5 travel around the world on tours all the time... Ozomatli is a Latino group... They are seriously some of the best musicians I have ever heard...

They are pretty under-ground, so I dunno how that will mix with all those who think that people like 50-Cent are hip-hop...

Yeah, I haven't heard much of KMK but from reading that I might have to get a few mp3's to tie me over until pay-day... I think its good that there is a hip-hop group out there who are against the drugs in soceity - atleast there is still someone out there who is setting a half-decent example for the next generation...

Has anyone here heard of a independant rapper called Benefit ? - He has a lot of good stuff aswell...

I usualy don't listen to rap, but one day a friend gave me a copy of a cd and it was great. I have to say that this artist is the only one I listen to in that catagory.

he raps alot about the future.. and ironically alot about police states, one world govts. and the like.

That is peter tosh in his avatar. He was a reggae artist and was killed for his beliefs.

To get on topic, i like the hieroglyphics,they have a unique style. Immortal technique is a good one also. Not too many new ppl/artists rap about anything anymore. Theres no story,not talking about anything. Underground is the way to go.
