Hi,

Does anyone remember about a year ago - around the time the "be-heading videos" were being discussed on the news, and being posted and re-posted around the Internet?

I remember that it kind of bugged me that they would always use almost the same wording - something like, "This video (then they would show a little teaser) was posted last night on an al-queda web site, known to be a 'clearing house' for al-queda members to post their videos, pictures, etc..." But no station that I saw, seemed as if they were even considering mentioning the name of the site, or the URL - and they never did. And I watched a few forum discussions on the topic, (not ATS) and they seemed to pretty much draw the conclusion that I eventually did - that there was no such web site. It was just an invention by BushCo to mislead the public.

Anyway, after a while, I forgot about it. There was so much said in the media that I didn't believe anyway by that time...... But just a couple of days ago, long after I had stopped even thinking about it, I accidentally ran into a web site, (or actually a link to it) that, of course I can't be sure, but I think that it is the one that they were talking about, and that perhaps it wasn't made up after all.

Who knows really? Of course, whether that particular thing turns out to be real or fake, it doens't sway my thinking in that BushCo has and still does quite a bit to try to mislead us.

Does anyone else remember that mysterious web site that I'm writing about?

Lots of rumors , but no URL yet. Pretty old news and, if it exists, it's apparently kept well hidden.

Gee, I hope nobody picks up on my search for "al-qaeda website".
Wait , someone's knocking at the door. Who could that be, this time of night? I'll be right ba

That's not the site.
The site they usually refer to is the al-Ansar website.

There are many of them out there though.
I used to go to them all of the time but many have been taken down.

Here's a couple that are still up:
islahi

qal3ati.net

EDIT:
Abualbukhary was very popular for that type of content.
If you do a google search for that name you'll finf many sites with similar content.

Although it was long ago I do remember finding the site. Although seeing it was all in arabic, it wasn't really much use.

So there IS or was a site out there that fits the bill.

I think most of the sites that these videos are found on have different URL's. Usually once they post one of these videos, the government tracks down the host company and they are shut down. The site will then pop up at another URL. It's always the same site, it just jumps around to different URL's everytime it's shut down.

That's just my theory, anyways. The reason we may be having trouble finding these terrorist sites is because we don't speak Arabic and don't know what the hell to look for! Those in the anti-terror community who are fluent in Arabic frequent these known terror sites and do know where they are.

I have no trouble at all finding them.
Just go to one of them and you'll usually find links to others.
Just keep adding the sites to your bookmarks.

Some of the ones in my bookmarks have been there for almost a year but there have been quite a few that are no longer online.

There are some sites that archive the videos found on the jihad sites.

One of the best is the one below:
www.terroristmedia.com...
(requires free registration)

They post the files as found on the net instead of tagging them with their own name like ogrish or fallujah.us.

They also keep the orginal filenames, which is useful.

Also, if you don't speak Arabic (I don't) you can use a free translation website like www.systransoft.com... to translate the websites for you.

The sites mentioned above are very good.
If you are looking for 'links', references to message boards or general translation of current 'chatter' this link :SITE is a good basic source in/as an attempt to 'monitor the net' and applicable related news.

Yeah the news doesnt realease the site because its too graphic and it promotes terrorism i guess..

Last year al zarqawis website that showed the beheadings was hacked several times, hell i would of done it if i knew how.. its pretty funny because they are stupid to put something up which can easily be taken down if you know how to do it and i say its a good thing because if their site remains then they get more credit so someone stopped it an whoever they are my heros. But that didnt last long it was back up after a while.

Well, you guys have certrainly re-sparked my interest. There was a time, about a year ago, when (I'm really not that sick, I'm not!) just morbid curiousity I suppose had me going. I was trying to collect all the "beheadings" until I started to notice that many of them didn't seem very realistic, as if they had been edited. Also, the so called "Al-qaeda" members shown appeared in size and stance to be more western to me. I started suspecting CIA. If that was the case, then I had no interest in collecting them.

But in the end, I simply became interested in other things, and lost interest in that. Really, I only started this thread because I had accidentally ran across what I thought might be the actual site, and thought that if anyone else was still looking for it that they may find it to be of use.

However, it wasn't the site, although it has a lot of interesting links.
