The more we hear about how well things are beginning to stabilize, the more we hear about attacks by suicide bombers.
In recent weeks the upsurge in these bombings has become more and more frequent. Nearly every day we are hearing or reading about some other
attack.
As the news item quotes, the insurgents know they are running out of time, hence the sudden wave of suicide bombings.
Most news media are covering this and all seem to have slightly differing accounts of the total killed.
