Monkey brain rewires to use robotic arm

"The brains of monkeys who learned to control robotic arms rewired themselves to treat the arms as if they were real -- a finding scientists say has implications for developing limbs to assist handicapped humans.

This technology goes well beyond the obvious "good" of providing the lame with limbs. What about the possibility of direct mind controlled complete robots? Example, a room full of marines in North Carolina fighting a battle in Iran by remote control. Too far out there you say, or is it?

OMG..that would scare the crap out of me if i was getting chased by one of those. talk about a horror movie in the making lol
