To be fair the science behind it seemed sound, a lost nuke the navy taking bets for a case of scotch, they found it where most bets were placed.

Hmmm, I would hazard a guess and say that Saddam will be 'caught,' dead or alive, within the next 3 months.
This will probably be proven wrong, but figured I would indulge the topic.

I'll wager "Saddam" will be found in the next 6 months after another 911 style attack in the US, in Iran, leading to military invasion of that country. "Saddam" will likely be found dead, same as his sons, but the purpose will be served, we will now have custody of both countries.

It's hilarious...I'll take a few bets on Sadaam getting caught or killed in the next three months.

Paul Wolfowitz is a a*s-hole. He lured the USA into attacking Irak, while they were more important threat.

I'll bet the next president turns out to be another JFK. Try and pull out our troops and get a couple in the head.

my prediction is things are just going to keep getting weirder in coming months. nonsense topics like cute young POWs and Kobe Bryant and the Peterson case will heat up, drowning out important developments internationally. the economy will continue its downward spiral, despite the pundits' assertions that it's really getting better. if the economy really starts going to pot, we may see another 9-11 style attack or another invasion in an attempt to jumpstart things again. (of course, it'll have the opposite effect.) once again, if Bush starts to catch major heat (like, impeachment heat) for the Iraq situation or the failing economy, we may see another attack or another "wag the dog" sort of situation.

I'd have to agree...if the economy keeps on this trend, there will be another 9/11 styled attack. I just wonder what form this attack will take. Any ideas?

Well, Bush leaves for his vacation, which means he is poised to make a dramatic "return to deal with the crisis", whatever crisis is about to be offered to us all while Congress remains in recess. There is no question that Bush needs another "terrorist event" right now, or he will be another one-term wonder like his father. The Democrats will retake the White House and possibly Congress on an anti-war platform, which means that the war-for-oil and the PNAC dreams of global conquest are also at risk. The one unbreakable rule of all government conspiracy, from the Pearl Harbor deception, to the assassination of JFK to lying about WMDs to create a war in Iraq, is that the conspiracy cannot be allowed to fail, that the conspirators MUST win no matter the cost. Bush and his cohorts have gone to far and spent too much NOT to try to create another crisis Bush can ride into a second term.
