The US military in Iraq says it has killed 75 insurgents, including foreign fighters, in a desert region close to the border with Syria.
The operation, in Anbar province, involved air and ground forces, the military said in a statement.
A day earlier, the US said it had killed six insurgents and detained 54 suspects in raids in the area.

The US have obviously been watching this area for a while. To get that many insurgents in one go, has got to be good for the moral of not only the
Coalition, but also the Iraqi's.
I'm not sure what nationality the foreign fighters were, but if the insurgents are getting depleted, then its only understandable that they would
have to replenish their ranks from other sources.
