KABUL, Afghanistan Afghan authorities on Wednesday released 55 Pakistani prisoners who were captured fighting with the Taliban and put them on a
plane back to their native country -- even though many have been accused of joining Al Qaeda and the Taliban in fighting U.S. forces.
they're prisoners of war.
your war in afghanistan against the taliban is drawing to a close so naturally they would be sent back to their home country.
An idea. Seriously, the war isn't drawing close to an end; there are still rocket attacks and the like, and now there will be even more to fight.
Normally one does not release POW's until there is no more hostility!
Absolutely, unequivocally wrong! How can they release the enemy when were still engaged? Isnt there some sort of coalition/centralized command
approval needed from our upper echelon? We ARE the ones prosecuting this war, arent we?
We appease too much; were backing a military dictator who came to power via a coup and amended their constitution recently OVER a free standing
democracy in India that has endured such things as Pakistan nationals blowing up & killing officials on their version of the Senate building
floor.during session!
