Could soemone please tell me if it is or not?

Your avatar is a Starcraft product....
Blizzard is copyrighted and there materials from their respective sites.
BUT.....
You are ok with the avatar, because Blizzard allows images such as .gifs and .jpgs to be used elsewhere.

I may be wrong...so don't quote me but I used to play Diablo II alot and always had a Blizzard .gif in use when on other boards and such. I still maybe wrong on this though.

To be perfectly honest Tass....I'm not 100% sure on this. I would suggest asking or U2U'ing a mod on this and ask for clarification.
Again.....I'm not 100% sure.

Doesn't bother me, I don't recognise it. Don't worry about it its not as if some dude in a suit if going to bang your door down threatening to sue you.

In reality, your avatar is probably a copyright violation... but I stress minor... the kind of violation that, at worst might results in a letter to stop, that's all.

More serious violations, for example, would be copying and pasting an entire news article (the intellectual property of a writer who writes for a living) onto other websites (your own, or discussion boards). These types of violations can involve formal requests for cash damages.

Do you think I could put an image of a singer in my signature and get away with it?
