It just freaked me out, cause my Grandfather Joseph Smith and my Grandmother (who had enough Choctaw in them to get on the Indian roles, which allowed me to be on it also) lived there, in this cool old house which I loved. But the attic scared the beejezus out of me. One night both my cousin and I saw a floating light come out of the house (big light not little) and CHASE us around the yard.
I know that is more info than you needed just thought it was strange with the Okla/Smith/Choctaw thing.

I think you need to take all mirrors out of the bedrooms. Possibly bleach all the floors....sounds nuts but I have reason for saying this.

I follow feng shui. Its important to clean the house of everything. That means ghosts as well. Align furniture in an appropriate manner so that all doors and windows are visibe to you when you sit. keep your toilet seat cover down at all times when not in use. Have a bowl of water in EVERY room of the house, some place high up so the kid cant get to it. Buy clear crystals and scatter them in every room near a window preferably, they need to reflect light. they run cheap. wind chimes can be used to chase away bad spirits .

Hey, just read through this whole thread...quite interesting. Any new developments valhall?

Yes! And it is very odd that you ask right now. For the first time since Springer went up in the attic I have had two "odd" occurrences tonight!

The first happened when I was sitting here (in chat) and my phone began to ring. But it wasn't a ring, ring, ring, it was a riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing and it just kept on ringing constantly with no interruption.

I have a speaker phone right here, so I lean over to answer it and the read-out was lit up and read "on hold ring back", which I assume means a ring back for a call you have on hold. Only I hadn't been on the phone!

Then approximately 5 to 10 minutes later there was a sharp sound in the attic. This occurred a second time a little while later (maybe 10 to 15 minutes after the first one).

That is all I have for now. Maybe we are about to find out that it is a "fair weather" spirit and goes dormant in cold weather. Heck, I know I wish I could!

Well, since there has been a little activity in the past week, and because I watched that ghost video about taking pictures and all, I decided to take a few pics of "critical areas". (Yeah, I'm weird, but in a creative way ** ).

First pic is of the door that my grandson was looking at when he waved at something and then busted out bawling. The pic is took from just about the same location he would have been standing.

also I wanted to ask , do the exposed beams run all the way through the house? I noticed they were even on the back porch photo , with the blow up alien that we will never mention again........

No, actually the beams of the living room (which are really fake beams) run perpendicular to the real beams you see in the porch pic.

I have not caught any images, but I think i'll just go around snap random shots every once in awhile.

Actually, I was able to find a couple of what are called "ambient paraforms" (sometimes called patroling spirits) in one photo. While they are spirit forms, they are extremely weak psychic energies that are actually used often times by stranger spirits to energize themselves to perform more obvious hauntings.

This does show to me that there is atleast some level of activity there even when you aren't noticing it. I am not going to post any of the photos as, I can't really point them out as ambient paraforms are not something you can say, hey, look right there. They are more of a blur in the photo, that is often mistaken for many other things.

Keep taking photos, hopefully you will get something good enough for me to post back to you.

Concerning the question about wanting to get rid of it. Not really. It isn't bothering me. Sometimes during the very active periods it gets a little scary to me, just because its a bit abnormal..you know? I'm curious to find out if there is something I should do for it. If it ever gets tacky - then we'll have a problem.

I have a teenager and a 20 year old...and then my grandson is 2.

Well I have read up on all the info you have posted here Val and in all honesty I can tell you that there is very little chance it is the spirit of one of the people that died in that house.

I can also say it has nothing to do with unfinished business, thats not how things work. Although there a quite a few theories here on what might be in your house, I can confidently say that it is one single spirit.

I do sincerely recommend expelling this spirit as the one who is most likely suffering silently from this is the one that cannot tell you about it (the 2 year old).

I would be happy to give you information on how to do this if you so wish or more info on what I believe to be happening and what evidence I see for it.

Im not saying I know for an absolute fact that my suspiciouns are true, but I am confident.

Definitely post them if you have them Val. Always interested in looking them over for you. You know where I stand on all of this.

You are probably aware of the myth that poltergeist activity usually centers around children, well this is true. Negs (short for negative nonphysical entity) find children the easiest to interfere with, and after reading the events you described I am confident that that is whats happening here.

The most prominent manifestation of the neg was to your grandson (a visual manifestation). He greeted the entity as a friend by smiling and waving. This to me suggests previous interaction with the entity. Your grandsons actions (smiling and waving) caused the attention of everyone in the room to focus their attention upon the spirit (something they do not like) and he was immedietly punished for this. He cried as though his eyes were burning, well they probably were.

The sounds that were heard were likely signs of the entities manifestation. If these should ever occur during the night I recommend you checking to see how the children are sleeping. Although this stage has probably passed by now as this mainly occurs during the first few weeks of a haunting. Sleep is the main time a neg will try to gain a mental grip on someone and outward manifestations will sometimes show (including noises in other parts of the house). However if you do so wish to check this you should basically check to see how they are sleeping. Look for repetetive body movements, signs of nightmares (moaning, trying to fight something off etc.) or any signs of discomfort. Check the eyes, a common sign is open eyed REM sleep. The child will be asleep but the eyes will be open and twitching. During open eyed REM sleep people have actually had success with talking to a possesing entity through the child.

Don't be too alarmed by my use of the word possesion, the neg you describe isn't very powerful. I use the word possesion loosely.

Your night terrors were a direct attack on you by the neg. If it has focused on your grandson then he will also have experienced many night terrors and most likely vocal communication with this entity. You could question him about these things but do so lightly. The chances are he will be very reluctant to talk about the neg in any way (the neg may have gained his loyalty by pretending to be a friend or though threats).

Other signs of neg interference in children include behavioral abnormalities. Is the child tired and listless during the day? This would indicate that his sleep is being interered with. Is he unusally demanding? Always wanting to be center of attention and very controlling? If so this could also indicate the negs overshadowing of the childs personality.

I recommend you searching every inch of the house high and low (including the garage or any outhouses/sheds) for cold spots. These will usually occur in the darkest, quietest least accessed parts of the house such as cellars and attics. If you find a cold spot then you will have an advantage over the neg and this will help in expelling it. You should also check your garden for cold spots and indeed the entire property. Check places that are never in direct sunslight at any time during the day mainly.

The methods described here for excorcising a spirit should be helpful indeed if you do decide to get rid of it. The feng shui techniques I highly recommend however the best place for bowls of water is under the bad (or on the floor next to the bed). This will prevent nightly attacks such as night terrors and noises (the mental attention you give to these noises is what the neg will feed on if the noise isn't a side effect of a manifestation). The waters effectiveness can be increased by adding a dash of holy water or or by blessing the water yourself.

I've dealt with ghost before, if you want to get rid of them, check around the house for something they left behind.

What ever you do don't ask them for favors, and don't try to talk to them.

Hopefully your not dealing with ghost, because there are the good ones and the bad ones.

Everything looks pretty normal in all those pics val. I am not sensing anything out of the ordinary at all.

Keep us posted and definitely keep the pics coming. Soon, geomagnateic activity will be on the increase as it always is in spring summer and fall, and the spirit world will become more active. (looking forward to it at my home, been missing y "friends" this winter). Something is bound to turn up sometime in a pic that we can put our fingers on.
