Have I Disturbed Some One? (Revisited)

Okay, I have recorded this nine ways to Sunday. This is as close as I could get to the actual audio tape. It is recorded at hi output on the tape recorder, hi line-in input, and medium tone. I also have included a second recording for comparison which was taped that night around 11:00 p.m. when my son called. This recording has two instances of human voices, the first being my daughter, the second being mine. Maybe the comparison will lead somewhere. For reference, you will hear the very high pitch of a door hinge and then you will hear my daughter say "mommy?" and then later you will hear the door hinge again and my voice.

I just found out something tonight that may end up being interesting. For anybody that has kept up with my hobbies, I have been working on my genealogy for some time now. About 3 months ago I hit pay-dirt by finding a very distant cousin (who is kin to me more than one way) who has just a veritable treasure-trove of information on two branches of my family. He called tonight and was rambling through various notes and brought up that one line of "cousins" ended up marrying Browns...that's the name of the builders of this house. The Brown line of my family originated here in this town and then moved away. So there is a possibility that I could end up being kin to the builder!

I just listened on my "slightly" better speakers at home... I'm still not sure you telling me what you heard didn't affect what I am hearing. Because I do hear it! I will test it by having my daughter listen to it...and my son. We'll see what they say.

Very interesting...talk about the possibility of "full circle"...

I've re-listened to the sounds, and here's what I hear now:

Activation #1:
Initial activation? I hear it start, then I hear what sounds like a squeak sound of someone putting pressure on a wooden staircase.

Activation #2:
Interference/warble, possible bad spot on the tape.

Activation #3:
This is where we heard "Henry" before. Still hearing the three different tones. It goes from high to low. It's like DAH, Dah, dah.

Activation #4:
Thunderstorm

Activation #5:
Our infamous squeak sound. I did a spectral analysis of this particular sound and you can defenitely see that the sound of the recorder coming on and the "squeak" sound are two different things.

Activation #6:
I still say this is a sound not created by the tape recorder. The sound has a bit of an echo to it. Like I said earlier, like a ruler being smacked onto a table, but only something bigger.

What you're hearing in that is the sound of someone stepping on one of the steps. If you listen to the most recent one I posted, you can clearly hear the creak of someone stepping on a wooden floor or staircase.

I think elder is right on this one. If that is right after the first activation that is me descending the stairs.

well, everyone is talking about interesting stuff and i wish i could hear some paranormal things or something....lol. Val, has your daughter, son or husband heard anything out of the ordinary or just you? Also, it would be freaky as shyte if you are somewhat related to the Brown's. Maybe that is why you are getting the phone calls....i dunno, still freaks me out about that. Maybe you should just go back into your family history again, just a thought!! If you will go back to the beginnings of this thread you will find that the second major happening in my house was with my son and his best friend - no one else, including me. Just those two.

now that you mention that, i did read that and just fogot about it. That was also freaky too. Thanks for the reminder though. I seen to catch myself listening to the one file of the real load noice with the thunderstorm one cause it interests me to figure out what that is hmmmm. But anyway, its weird!

I heard 'Henry, where are you?" on the ten second slowdown.

I couldnt make out a phrase on the 10 second one....... but there IS something there.......

I just couldnt properly make out words.

I cannot find any reference to a Henry in the abstract. This weekend, while Springer is here, I will go up in the attic and see what all is up there. I haven't really look around good. I know there are some books, but that's about all I've noticed.

I would like to revisit the weird angled box structure on the first floor that sticks out of the original outside wall of the house. As IAP has referred to at one point an open balcony ran across the full east side of the house.



I'm not sure when it became part of the house (which owner), but the last owner is the one that went bizarro and walled over the windows. BUT, more important than that, the way the balcony was changed is pretty weird.



The blue x is where the angled box sticks out of the wall on the first floor (in the enclosed porch). I'm not going to point out all the weirdness involved here at this point (gotta get ready for work). Maybe it is better I just throw these two sketches out and let everybody see the oddities for themselves. There's some pretty bizarre decisions made here.

I so want to know what those books are.

Whoever made those changes never made it as an architect huh? Why on earth would anyone do that? There is a lot of wasted space the way that is made.

Was someone trying to cover something up???????

Sorry I influenced you Val. What did anyone else at home say? They hear anything? I shoulda had you listen to it before saying anything. My wife listened yesterday and she said she heard the same phrase I did. (it's saved on the puter at home and she saw it yesterday and listened and she wondered why I recorded that. Had to explain to her where it come from. She heard it before we ever talked about it, but then again, we think a lot alike.)

i think your first step is to eliminate any possibility of "imminent deaths" occuring....there is a possiblity that it's this irish hag who wants to claim some1's life in that house.....what if it isnt,maybe casper got carried away??

if i had kids', if i was happily married(still teenaging at 16) i would undoubtedly face this thing....i dunno how, but i'd definitely be in cahoots with anything the suspected ghost doesnt like.

Well, what I hear (and since I am a weirdo anyways) was "You're Hurting Me".

But, it seems I am the only one that heard this other than my wife, and then Val, but, she may have only heard it because I had told her I heard it before she listened to it. So, I dunno.

Val,

I doubt this is a banshee (although not impossible), they are quite rare. If you are overly worried that it may be a banshee, I don't really know what you can do. I know of no methods that work to get rid of banshee's exclusively.

A couple things you may want to keep in mind (and I may have said this before) is that you may want to try to find a somewhat local and trustworthy Shaman or other very spiritual pagan. Shaman is the best bet if you can find them, as they know much more on the spirit level, and will be better at ridding your home of unwanted guests.

Under no circumstance use a priest or any christian leader to perform a house cleansing. They are not trained in such a thing, and can often (and have often) made matter worse, which, when a Shaman comes to cleans later (to clean up their mistakes) it can often be much harder for them.

On the other hand, you may want to keep researching. As I have said, at first when things started in my home, I wanted all of the spirits gone. I was scared poopless. However, I am now learning to live with them, and many of them have actually become helpful and a somewhat "unseen security crew" for my home. This may well be the case for you too.

Talk to them as though they are family, when they make you mad, tell them. Show as little emotion as possible, as they feed on your energy that is released through emotion. Their favorite emotions are love and anger. However, love will make the happier ones better, but anger will make the bad worse, and the good, not so good. But treat them like people. Talk to them. Acknowledge them. Don't feel embarasses or stupid. It will be strange in the beginning, but you'll get used to it.

And like I said, it may turn out to be a helpful thing to get to know them. Usually, they just want attention.
