Hi People,
What does a little red WARN sign indicate, I've noticed it under some members name.

Right here in my handbook.

WARNINGS

It's a warning from staff, a response to people being hateful, cursing over the top, abusing the other members, etc., etc..

It's a points deduction, and if you get enough, you lose your account.

They go away after a while, but if you accumulate enough, you can't post until the first one evaporates.

Edit: Zeddicus beat me like the Jedi master he is.

It's NOT a points deduction, although points are deducted.

It's a sign of serious infraction of the T&C, and is a reminder on how to better behave. JAK said it very well when he said warns should actually be welcome. They're telling you how to better yourself, and everyone should be ok with that.

At any rate, Zedd's self promotion is the way to go.

Just asking a question from the powers to be. And being lame cause this board is right in insisting on such behavior from border-line members I think?.

Well stop bouncing around and be responsible on this..

Do you just support the ATS Brass or do you do both ie listen to the merits of the question and merits of the answer?

Sure, here's the scoop on the warnings.

Warnings: In the event that a member does not follow ATS Terms & Conditions, staff will issue a formal warning. A warning remains on a member's account for 72 hours, and is coupled with a 250 point deduction. If a user compiles 5 or more active warnings, they will not be able to post until the warnings expire after 72 hours. For more information, click here.

Thanks Dbates. Well, obviously a heated day on the ATS posted board I believe. A lot said about ATS and a lot of defence too. yet this is still a great board and the volume of members support my thougts I think..

Alright just chill.

Amazing how a simple question can degenerate into personal bickering.

Since the question has been answered there is no further use for this thread other than drama, so I'll have it locked.
