The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), led by Middle Eastern member nations, enacts the first of a series of price hikes on oil exports to Western countries and declares an oil embargo against the Unites States and The Netherlands. This marks the beginning of the "energy crisis" of the 1970s, in which the price of crude oil rose from $3 to $30 a barrel between 1973 and 1980.

1976, two years after the 73-74 OPEC oil embargo, gasoline/petrol prices remain high. Worse, suspician was tip of the iceberg, economy will never be same...
Which hold true to this day!

if i'm not mistaken there are a number of opec nations pushing to change the oil standard to the euro. the current oil standard is the dollar. if the oil currnecy standard changes to the euro, then the euro will see a large increase in value, while the dollar will fall even farther. with the us as the worlds largest debtor nation, this is bad news for our position in the world economy. in time, the euro is going to overcome anyway.

The Federal Reserve is to blame for the economic woe we are experiencing,no one else.It is completely within their power to fix everything, yet they do not,the system just does not work for anyone but the very rich,by design.

Yes,there is more going on here than we will be allowed to know,if we find out we are tagged"enemy combatants"or"terrorists",hauled off and placed somewhere we cannot share what we have learned.
A lot of energy is put into making sure that people do not take so called "conspiracy theorists" seriously,in fact the title is a tag,so that those who question the way things may be are ignored by the masses of sheople. The one thing they all forgot is that if you make like sheep, the wolves will eat you....
Be careful what knowledge you share, especially on the internet or phone, they are even trying to make laws that require both a sender and receiver address to be recorded in the postal service in order to mail a letter.
Farmers must keep very close track of their livestock.

I am currently looking on some of my other source to/for such a reference to...
I would be obliged if you could shed some light in the form of a link, etc.

Is that almost every major town or city has these forms(UCC forms) available somewhere, you can even get them at some stationary stores, and almost every one is ignorant to the existence of the UCC,Except lawyers and politicians and so on,ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING RUNS according to these code to a certain extent, but the vast majority of people don't even know that they exist.
Can You Say Conspiracy?.

OPEC is a joke.
The only reason that countries outside of the Middle East are a part of that organization, is to prop up Arab economies. They keep the price of oil high even though it hurts them personally, because low oil prices would be detrimental in the long term due to Arab incompetence.

Nearly all oil producing countries outside of that region can sustain themselves by other means. But not the Middle East countries - oil is their only income. Without it the whole region would burst into flames.

If the Russians can find a cheap way of getting at their oil reserves and sell at a reasonable price, the Middle East OPEC members are going to have a crisis on their hands. Governments in the region will fall.
The only problem is that the fallout from this could hurt us all.

The Arabian "Royal Families" depend on a high price to keep their populations in check. Cheap oil would mean unrest and ultimately anarchy and revolution. You can bet that once the dust settle afterwards, you will have a dozen Irans in the region.

We pay the price to keep their house in order.
