Besides the brain there are Systems that are made from other matters. I can feel the presence of these Systems.

Yea, there are those Systems, sure, prove it. Voila. Don't think that the neuron system is that perfect and have endless capabilities. Each new connection between the neurons alters the meaning of the connection that already was made to imprint something else. Each connection between neurons occupies some space in the brain. So the possible number of useful connections is not that big. Cells that are located far apart in the brain cannot be connected to each other easily, many such connections would take up all the brain space very quickly.

A human can remember his entire life. There are 100M cells in the eye. Count how much visual information the brain must store. It's 100M * 2(eyes) * 25(number of frames per second in a movie) * 60(seconds) * 60(minutes) * 24(hours) * 30(days) * 12(month) * 100(years). Think how it could be stored. Until today your scientists don't know where in the brain so much memory is stored. And you will never find it, brain is primarily a sending and receiving device.

Try to think that the brain is not an all can device.

We can build you.

I think not, or certainly the detail of the "now". For example, ask yourself what you ate last Wednesday for your main meal? Unless you eat the same things day after day I think you would struggle (I certainly would!!). Or, what music was playing in the background, what shirt did you have on... etc. And as for what happened a year ago.... See what i mean?

I agree we can "remember" some significant moments in our Lifes but generally as "snapshots" - I can remember my daughter being born 20 years ago - but once again - the details escape me.

I think I see what you a trying to say - that our mental storage capacity is huge. However, in reality I suspect that our memories are acually quite limited, as I've tried to show above. I think the answer lies within psychology - i must go now but Google long and short term memory and see what results you find from that.

Happy hunting!!

another reason why you can't remember everything is because man has an ego. an ego that causes delusions and make things look better then they were or make them look worse. the longer back in the past the more details you forget and are twisted.

rest of openings post. i got no idea what it's about :S
you're some bio-cyborg manufacturer or something hehe

Ok, you put in doubt your memory. But in fact you shouldn't. There are cases when the entire life is passing before human. Anyway, lets put it aside. What about the neurons?

No, I think Bill is correct. Our soul, our spirit does remember everything in our life. And knows into the future. Most of us have little or no training to tap into this vast wealth of information. But I believe it can be done.

We all share the same access to the infinite consciousness, but the data that we choose to access, is mostly only information that relates to the existence of our individuality... ie. we only bother trying to access 'memories' that relate to 'ourselves'. It would'nt make much sense to tap into someone else's memories, would it...
We like to filter out stuff that is damaging to the ego, and retrieve that which boosts the emotional moods that we are addicted to. A 'narcissist' likes to recall memories of himself in a positive light, so that he can boost his ego. A person with an 'inferiority complex' will remember stuff that makes them feel like they are inferior to others, and make them addicted to the notion that they should be seeking help from others.
'Ego' is simply a physical addiction to the recovering of memories that suit our own individualistic agendas...

Mr Bill is correct.

We remember EVERYTHING, certain nurons or what ever they call them can be triggered to bring back memories. Like a comp we just 'delete' to make 'space' for other more important things. Again just like a comp those things can be brought back with the right tools,

Ie; Electric currents triggering certain areas of the brain.

Hypnosis is also good for this.

I *strongly* doubt we remember every single time frame in our entire lives. Perhaps -points- in time and we fill in the gaps. Recollecting these 'episodes' and attempting to prove the soul is true because of it is, imo incorrect.

Then again on the other side, perhaps souls do exist but we cannot always access them on this plane of existance (physical plane).

Just a thought
