According to 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas, the science fiction saga will continue after the release of the sixth and final movie, 'Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.' The final 'Star Wars' film is scheduled to be released in theaters May 19. Lucas told fans at a convention in Indianapolis and on a posting at the starwars.com website that he had two television projects in development at this time.
The first is a continuation of 'Clone Wars' which is an animated series that airs on Cartoon Network. Presently, 'Clone Wars' is seen in brief, five minute episodes but Lucas indicated he planned to make them into 30 minute shows which will make the show a '3-D animated version full-series.'
The second television series will be a live-action series that will cover the period between the end of Episode III and the beginning of Episode IV (which was released in 1977).
