I submitted a story on ATSNN and forgot to give a subject

Now, I am not able to find the post so that, I can edit it and type in a subject.

How do I find it? TIA

Quake,
You could always check your browser history. Hope it helps.

Starting a thread without a title/subject won´t go. It will be automatically trashed/deleted/"gone forever" and you will have to type everything once more and submit it again. The same thing will happen if the title/subject you choose already exist.

A good idea is to have a copy of your post in a textfile (i.e. notepad) before submitting, in case anything should go wrong. That way you don´t have to type everything all over again.

I believe this have happened to all of us at least once...

"tis true. If you give no subject, there is no topic started. This is true of ATSNN stories and new topics in general.
If you don't keep a copy of your post somehwere, even if you just right-click and copy, it is lost to cyberspace. And, yes, most of us have done this more than once or twice...even after being here for awhile.

Thanks Hellmutt and DontTreadOnMe

Next time onwards I will type it in a word processor first.

As far as cyberspace is concerned.... here I come......I will scan your remotest corners till I find my post...After all it can't be as elusive as the WMD's

You'd be surprised. It's unfortunately easy to lose something electronically. Hence the phrase "Paper Trail."

Anyway, if you use a word processor, make sure to edit it through for special characters (like curly braces). The new server doesn't accept them.

Hi Quake,

Also, when picking your word processing software:

1. Don't use Word - ATSNN doesn't like it.
2. I have found that there are weird formatting issues when using notepad, and I have had consistently better luck with wordpad.

Just some things I've learned that I thought I'd pass on.

Never would have guessed, given your avatar and all.

For the record, the link in Val's sig kicks royal arse, as I've recently found out.
